This review is only for the psychiatry medication and their business side. The counselor I saw there was great! For the psychiatry, you will be seen by a nurse practitioner, not a doctor. That practitioner will prescribe your meds, supposedly under the supervision of a doctor. Then they bill your insurance like you actually were being treated by the doctor, even though you never saw, spoke to, or had any communication with the doctor. Seems abnormal, but I am not in medical billing, so what do I know. Be aware that their nurses are not very responsive if you call with a question and have to leave a message. You may have to hammer on them to get a response in a timely matter. I went through 2 med providers in the 2 years I went there and both providers chose to leave the company, as did I after my last provider left (I did not follow that provider to wherever he/she decided to go). I cannot speculate as to why they left, but if you seek help here, try to do so with an established provider. I did mention that they sent me a rather rude letter when I chose to leave (per MN law). Nystrom has informed me that their upper management has already reviewed the letter and will be making changes to it so patients know that they are welcome to come back, if their new provider does not work out for them. Their business side is definitely run like a business. Plan on being pestered to pay bills, even if they are not past due. Also make sure you go to your appointments or reschedule at least a day in advanced to avoid a fee. They will waive the fee if you do not have a long history of missed appointments and have extenuating circumstances. Nystrom & Associates has been an amazing experience for my family! We have been coming here for over a year, the staff is personable, our appointments are always on time and we feel as if we are truly cared about. Keep up the good work!

I have both positive and negative items to say about this location. First the POSITIVE. The experience with Courtney Brown and Dr Susan Cuny have been outstanding in the last year! When an emergency appointment was needed due to a traumatic life event that was becoming difficult to handle it was given. You have made a huge difference in my son's life. Thank you! On the other hand some of the office staff and your policies have little to be desired. When calling in some of the office staff are less than cordial and could definitely use some phone etiquette training. Additionally, when a family is going through some financial difficult times and have fallen behind on some of the payments do you in your true ethical and moral mind believe you should continue with the current policy of not allowing that patient to be seen until it is paid off? I know you are a for profit company, I understand you need to make money. But does it always have to be at the expense of someone's mental and emotional health where suicide has or had been considered at one time. Please do not do your standard response and send me the phone number to your Quality Improvement department. You have my name and if you really want to help you can look it up in your system as a parent to one of your patients. Thank you.

I have had a wonderful experience here. I have been going for around 2 years and I have had no problems with my educated, understanding, and supportive Doctor, Dr. Ritter. Good customer service from the front desk with scheduling. Communicating from the FHM mobile app is vey convenient.

The office manager is extremely helpful and has gone out of her way to help us. I would recommend this clinic to everyone.

The parking had the new building has improved so far. Let's get a year under their belt before finally judgement and see if the employees start to park closer and closer with rainy or winter weather. At the end of the day all the cars in the lot should be in the farthest spots in the lot meaning those are the employees. This way the paying customers get the closer spots. I drive by every morning and night on 101 besides the visits so time will tell.

Only have had one appointment there for my child so far, but she seems extremely friendly and someone my child could easily relate to. If things change, will update this review.

This review is only about the parking situation and understanding the paying customers not about the health service. We've had to park across the street in another parking lot in the winter and rain. I could tell that this business doesn't require the employees to park across the street to allow the customers park close. This is a customer service failure. I worked in a business over 25 years ago that understood that service aspect. Hopefully when their new building is built the parking will be a lot better. I'll be happy to delete this review and/or provide a positive review if the situation is resolved on my next visit. It is very easy to negotiate with another property owner that has ample parking across the street if that is the case.

I have been receiving care through Nystrom for over 10 years. I am shocked to read the reviews that have been posted here. When I began my relationship with Nystrom & Associates, I was in dire straits and very fragile. The office staff, without exception, have always been professional and easy to work with. My doctor and therapist have been exemplary, and I have recommended them many times with every confidence that whoever is in need will also have a compassionate, engaging, positive experience.

Lisa VT is the best ever. I couldn't imagine any other therapist taking care of me. Been seeing her for 4 years and my experience with her is top notch! If you want someone who truly cares and listens I recommend HER! As far as Dr Quaker I ditched her after 3 months. Horrible person. Was referred by Lisa to see Dr Uecker in the new Brighton office. Amazing psychiatrist! Overall experience is 10/10!
